The Real Housewives ‘Projectile Vomited’ Star Drinks Ozempic

Speaking on the Page Six Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, The Real Housewives of Dubai star Caroline Stanbury revealed that she once “vomited” at West Hollywood bar The Abbey because of her Ozempic use.
His confession was in response to host Evan Real’s admission that he had stopped drinking several months earlier because of the way alcohol use worsened the effects of the weight loss drug.
Stanbury’s vomiting incident occurred after consuming only a small amount of alcohol, he told the host.
“You drink half a glass, and you’re like, literally — There’s no way you’re going to run to the bathroom,” he laughed.
“If you haven’t vomited on Ozempic, you haven’t lived,” he added.
Paul Daidone, MD, FASAM, Medical Director of True Self Recovery, said that the reaction between Ozempic and alcohol experienced by Stanbury and Real occurs because of how these GLP-1 drugs work.
Ozempic mimics glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a hormone that regulates blood sugar by stimulating the production of insulin. It also reduces bloating and reduces hunger, an effect that helps people lose weight.
Slow gastric emptying means that food and drink stay in the stomach longer, which can make people feel fuller for longer or, in some cases, feel nauseous, Daidone said.

For example, a series of cases published on November 27, 2023, at Journal of Clinical Psychiatryfound that 100% of six weight loss patients who used the generic version of Ozempic, semaglutide, also significantly reduced their AUD symptoms.
Explaining why Ozempic can have this effect, Michael Villarreal, CADC, Director of Tres Vistas Recovery, noted that studies have shown that GLP-1 agonists such as Ozempic impact pathways in the brain. which may be involved in immoral behavior.
